Position Description

People First in MaconLocal Team Collaboration:
- We are a closely knit, established team of 18 physicians and four APPs, supported by a clinical performance nurse.
- We welcome the challenge of complex cases, but we also have the luxury of directly transferring patients to Piedmont Macon downtown should the patient need a higher level of care.
- We have a closed ICU with Tele-Intensivist backup day and night.
Qualifications:
- Board certification as a nurse practitioner is required.
- Experience in acute care or hospital medicine preferred.
- Georgia state licensure and DEA is required.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- New grads are welcome to apply.
Scheduling:
- This is a swing position; 7 on/7 off, 3 PM – 3 AM
- Enjoy flexible scheduling with options for both full-time and per diem roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Our advanced practitioners work nocturnist shifts, taking cross-coverage calls on an average daily census of 25-30 patients, averaging 1-3 admissions/night.
- Collaborate with physicians and other APPs to ensure comprehensive care.

It is known for its exceptional weather and outdoor activities like biking the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail or paddling down the Ocmulgee River. The downtown area has undergone a remarkable revival, with many shops and buildings renovated into dining and shopping establishments, while several have been transformed into high-rise lofts. Conveniently located just an hour from the Atlanta airport, Macon offers easy access to Atlanta’s shopping, restaurants, museums, theaters, concerts, and year-round professional sporting events.
