Happy NP Week to all Georgia Nurse Practitioners of ALL specialties! In honor of National Nurse Practitioner Week, November 12-18, 2017, I invite Georgia NPs to participate in “Eyeglass Recycling.”
Please reach out to your family, friends, coworkers, and patients to collect eyeglasses of all types and in any condition of wear, including prescription eyeglasses, readers, and sunglasses. Cell phones and hearing aids are also acceptable, in any condition.
Please collect them during NP week and we can work with local NP groups to have a representative bring them to the state capital on November 28, 2017 when we have our photo op with Lt. Governor Casey Cagle with our Proclamation in recognition of NPs and our contributions to healthcare.
The eyeglasses will be recycled internationally with medical mission groups. Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation and their recycling center makes this possible. Thank you in advance for participating!
