Important HB 430

  • HB 430 - the APRN Licensure Bill - is on the House Rules Calendar on Thursday, February 10 for a vote by the Full House of Representatives!!!
     
    Please send an email to your state representative and ask them to pIease  VOTE YES on HB 430 on February 10!

    HB 430 provides for licensure of advanced practice registered nurses and also authorizes APRNs and PA to execute affidavits for individuals to obtain disability parking permits.   Georgia is part of a small minority of states nationwide that do not currently license APRNs.  Georgia’s almost 17,000 APRNs are currently granted an “authorization to practice” and not a formal license.
     
    HB 430 has been approved by the Georgia Occupational Regulation Review Council (GORRC) and the House Regulated Industries Committee.
