Great Turnout for January 2026 Meeting

The January UAPRN meeting was a huge success!  

Members old and new joined for UAPRN updates from our regional AANP Director, Dr. Michelle Nelson!!!!

We passed a basket and raised funds for the UAPRN PAC, and we enjoyed delicious dinner while learning about new research in preventive health, lab tests that allow for diagnosing Diabetes Type 1 in primary care in earlier stages, in populations with a family history.  Next month we will meet at Frankie's Steakhouse in Duluth, GA. 

We will have more discussion on APRN and health policy at next month's meeting, and we will learn about a genetic test, Genesight that can guide clinical decision making on psychiatric medications covered at 100% by Medicaid and Medicare, and  private insurance.  For self-pay patients, this test is available for $300.00.  If the self-pay patient has problems affording it, Genesight will work with them through a sliding scale.
