I'm honored to share Sandy's white paper attached.

I'm excited to share with you a white paper, titled Nurse Practitioners and Political Engagement, that explored the views of over 900 nurse practitioners (NPs) across the country about their reasons for engaging in the political process.

As a result of a focus group and a national survey, a call to action has been created. It is hoped that this paper will get more NPs, faculty and leaders continuing the conversation about how we can lead, motivate, educate and inspire NPs to be more engaged in the political process. We are stronger as one and together we can work to provide the tools and resources necessary to ensure NPs are actively at the table to assist in policy and advocacy for healthcare delivery.  To assist in this effort, Generation NP, a large online network of over 50,000 NPs, will begin hosting a resource center for NP mentors and mentees. I'll send out an announcement when this is up and running.

As a true advocate of the NP role and as a prestigious nursing leader, I hope that you can share this paper within your networks. I would love if you could disseminate this important paper out this month if possible.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Thank you for all that you do for nurse practitioners and the nursing profession!
